Permanent Record is a 1988 American drama film starring Keanu Reeves.

Plot Summary

Keanu Reeves arrives too late to stop his friend from committing suicide. The friend appears to have everything. He is smart, funny and popular. The academic expectations of his parents become very overwhelming, so he commits suicide by jumping off a cliff. Keanu's character arrives just as his friend jumps to his death. The movie mainly deals with the profound effect the suicide has on his friends.

Soundtrack

The soundtrack featured five songs by Joe Strummer and The Latino Rockabilly War, as well as individual tracks by Lou Reed, The Stranglers, the BoDeans, The Godfathers, and JD Souther
